Swarna Chamaram rewinds back in time over half a century of celluloid music toproject enduring reels of ageless melodies -fervent songs from the honey-dewed 50’s, lively tunes from the vivacious 60’s and emotional numbers from the fervent 70’s.
The premiere show is anchored by Krishnachandran, Executive Producer, Amrita TV, a veteran playback singer who has more than 200 songs in Malayalam and Tamil to his credit. He rummages into the vaults of his rich experience to come up with nuggets of inside information to embellish his foreword to each song.
A nostalgic collage of exquisite film songs, Swarna Chamaram takes us on a sentimental trip to the cinematic era of a distant past that gave us innumerable hauntingly sweet tunes we cherish even to this day.
