Amrita TV unveils special content for the New Year

Malayalam general ntertainment channel Amrita TV is has unveiled a special programming line up for 31 December and 1 January. On New Year's Eve, Amrita TV will show a four hour lyrical ode to music director Ouseppachan in Kathodu Kathoram starting from 11.30 pm. The show features Jayaraj Warrier as the master composer and playback singers such as Sujatha, Vijay Yesudas, Franco and Gayathri, Nimmi.
On 1 January, Super Hit 2010 will be shown at 7:30 am featuring film songs of the departed year. This will be followed by Puthuvalsaravum Yuva Thaarangalum at 8.30 am that drops in at the shoot locale of VK Prakash's latest venture. The show captures the frolic and the drollery on the sets of the movie whose star cast includes Jayasurya, Kunchako Boban, Indrajith, Samvritha Sunil and Ann Augustine. The New Year celebrations will continue with movie Chattambinadu at 9 am starring Mammootty, Laxmi Rai and Suraj Venjaramoodu among others. The filmy vein continues with Glorious Malayalam Film 2010 at 2 pm anchored by Madhupal who does a brisk retrospective through the Mollywood products of 2010, the 92 releases which were a potpourri of mega block busters, spectacular flops and also rans, selects the top ten movies of the year and discusses them with the director, actors and other craftsmen involved in its production.

This will be followed by Aaghosham, a sensational stunner of an event stretching over three hours from 3.30 pm in the afternoon. Revelry of song and dance, it will star a lavish line up from the playback industry including Karthik, Biju Narayanan, Jyotsana and Sayonara.
